SERVICES

I offer a range of services for museums, historic sites, nonprofits, and private clients, including the following:

Exhibition Curation

I organize compelling art and history exhibitions, large and small, from conception to completion. I’m experienced at collaborating with designers, fabricators, and registrars to bring shows to completion on time and on budget.

Collections Research

What are the stories behind the objects in your collection? I investigate primary sources, genealogical resources, and more to uncover the history of single items or entire collections.

Collections Refinement

Many museums hold collections that are no longer relevant to their mission. I can work with your staff to identify and investigate objects that may be candidates for deaccession, including provenance research.

Writing

I’m available to write or edit exhibition text, contribute essays for exhibition catalogs, research and write object entries for permanent collection catalogs, and write exhibition or book reviews pertaining to American decorative arts.

Lectures

From the women of Tiffany Studios to the folk art collecting of Elie Nadelman, I offer engaging talks on a range of topics and am always exploring new areas of interest.
